Winters mean cold hands and feet, and most older people will suffer from this to some degree. Some people may suffer from cold feet far more than others and it may seem impossible to warm them up.
Here are some suggestions to warming up those icy toes:
1. Using a space heater will help to keep the room at a comfortable temperature.
2. Provide your client with warm socks, such as thermals, to insulate their feet.
3. A heated blanket or pad will do wonders to warming cold feet.
4. Hot water bottles wrapped in a light towel will help warm up cold feet.
5. Make use of a foot bath (or basin with warm water) to soak cold feet and warm them up. Dry thoroughly before putting thermal socks on.
6. Cold hands can be warmed up in much the same way, with a hot water bottle at hand, and even a warm soaking.
Final thought
Having icy cold feet can be very unpleasant and even dangerous if feet are left to become numb. This will make standing up dangerous.
With a few simple remedies your client can keep their feet and hands warm during the winter months.
