If ever there was a household chore that is loathed, it is cleaning the oven. This must be one of the most despised tasks in the entire house. And yet, every so often it needs to be done, even if you very seldom spill things inside.
While oven chemical cleaners will work well and quickly you will be left with noxious fumes which may affect both yours and your client’s chest and are best avoided.
Here is a natural way to clean the oven, without those awful smells.
Make a solution using baking soda and water. Mix this together in a small bowl so that it is not too runny, but more like a toothpaste consistency.
- Make sure the over is switched off and has cooled down completely
- Cover with your soda paste
- Leave it overnight
- Wipe all the mixture off with a damp cloth
- Spray the inside with white vinegar
- Wipe down with a damp cloth again
- Replace the racks
If you do this once a fortnight and pass it on to any incoming carer there is no reason why you should not have a clean oven all the time. Also, be sure to clean up any spills right away before they get baked onto the surface.
