I am a hard-working person who ready to work in a fast-paced busy environment and can carry out any duties as directed or of my own accord. I have an enthusiastic approach to work and able to complete tasks individually as well as work as part of a wider team. I am reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work. I have a willingness to undertake any training required to progress.
I have over three years’ experience cleaning within domestic, community and commercial settings. In my current role as a domestic service assistant I am responsible for undertaking a full range of cleaning tasks within a hospital on a day to day basis. The key duties I perform with my present employer include providing thorough cleaning assistance to multiple wards within the hospital and generally ensuring a sanitary, neat, and inviting environment for both staff and hospital patients. Within these duties I ensure that the safety signs are used appropriately at all times and safe use of chemicals within COSHH guidelines whilst using commercial cleaning tools. In this role I have been trained in hygiene, Health and Safety, Moving and Handling and COSHH guidelines. And apply this knowledge daily whilst working as part of an in-house team for the hospital.
A part of my current role involves working on response and this entails leading cleaning crews working on the help desk and responding to any emergencies in the hospital and ensuring that the jobs completed comply with company standards. This responsibility has aided me in leading within a team to coordinate on assigned tasks and ensure full coverage and appropriate completion of tasks. In addition to this I support others to be able move through cleaning duties efficiently while maintaining an effective and timesaving routine. I am also responsible for implementing cleaning supply inventory controls through tracking inventory and submitted orders.
I have experience as a both a domiciliary and residential care worker. which has helped improved my inter personal skills and communication skills as it afforded me experience in working with a range of different people including professionals, staff members, clients and family members. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills which was demonstrated by recordings in the clients care plan and notes. Whilst working I was required to manage my time to ensure that the necessary tasks are completely according to the shift timetable.
In my previous role as a general assistant, it provided me valuable experience in the customer service arena. Often times I was the first point of contact for the customer which required me to be approachable, polite and helpful whilst handling customer enquiries. At times it also meant finding creative solutions when dealing with unexpected problems.
