My name is Sithabiso Khumalo.l am a mature  compassionate lady with experience in working with clients in their homes as a companion as well as working in hospitals and in the communities .My previous experience as a psychiatric nurse has led me to promote and support people’s recovery by helping them live independently and fulfilling their lives as well as acknowledge people as individuals focussing on their needs with mutual respect and dignity as well as maintaining their privacy.I am an open, honesty and hardworking person and provide high standard of practice at all times with accountability and integrity . I always make the care of people  my first concern. I always work with others to protect and promote the health of those in my care.
Currently I am not working as a nurse due to early retirement, my pin has lapsed.My skills involve building therapeutic relationships with clients, assisting clients with their mobility problems, moving and handling, shopping, assistance with attending to personal care, giving medication, shopping, cleaning and housekeeping . I also promote independence to clients by giving them reassurances and encouragement .Most clients I work with always trust and work with me amicable as I show them respect.l always endeavour to set a positive mood for interaction. I can also distract and redirect my clients when distressed.I always actively involve my clients in any decision that needs to be made about their care and well being.

I hold a BSC(HoNs) in Health studies which I attained in 2010 at Wolverhampton university. 
I also have  a Diploma as a registered mental health nurse in which I attained in 2006 at university of Central England in Edgbaston in Birmingham .

• Prior  to this I also achieved a Certificate in Education as a teacher in 1986 at United College of Education in Zimbabwe.
 
2002-2006 worked as a carer in the hospitals from Ambition and Genesis and Pulse  agencies.I also worked for NHS South Birmingham Trust for Learning disabilities.

2007-2015 worked as a qualified Mental Heath. Nurse (xxRMN) at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trustt

2016 worked for Frantec as Lively in Carer
