Live-In Carer

Live-In Carer Position at Sonderwell – Okehampton

Weekly Pay: £800.80 Plus Food allowance

Location: Okehampton

Shift Pattern: 7 days per week, minimum 2-week shifts

Sonderwell is seeking compassionate and experienced Live-In Carers to join our team and provide person-centered care to clients with complex needs in the comfort of their own homes. In this role, you’ll stay with the client for a minimum of two weeks at a time, offering consistent, high-quality care and support, including during allocated breaks.

What We Require from Candidates:

• Flexibility and reliability in your approach to care
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals with complex health needs
• The ability to work independently and use initiative
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Full driving licence with business insurance

Our Client:

The client lives alone with their cat and requires full assistance to meet all daily living needs. They have a high level of autonomy in directing aspects of their care, including:

• Autonomic Dysreflexia management
• Bowel care
• Catheter care
• Cough assist
• Nebulisation
• Pressure area care
• Moving and handling
• Driver required with full licence and business insurance.

Supporting You:

At Sonderwell, we believe care is about more than just physical assistance – it’s about building meaningful trust with clients and their families. You will receive thorough online and classroom training tailored to your client’s specific complex care needs. Additionally, you’ll have ongoing support from a Care Co-ordinator or Nurse Manager, and our Carer App will provide valuable guidance and resources.
