The Role of a Consultus Live-in Carer

Deliver person-centred care to all clients, ensuring they feel valued, happy and involved in the delivery of their care.
Support clients with all daily activities, enabling them to enjoy the best possible quality of life, whilst always working within your competencies and skills, and ensuring the clients safety.
Promote the independence and dignity of your clients, fulfilling a care package built around their individual needs and beliefs.
Offer comfort and support for your client and their family or representative.
Undertake light housekeeping duties, including the preparation of nutritious meals.
Maintain care records precisely, following guidelines.
Liaise with healthcare professionals involved in the direct care of the client.
Liaise with Care Consultants and other carers to ensure continuity of care.
Ensure that the office is kept informed of any significant changes in the client's health and wellbeing.
Adopt a flexible approach to meet the client's requirements - it may be necessary for you to undertake additional duties within your capabilities.
Undertake all mandatory training provided by Consultus that is required for your position as a live-in carer.

Key Information For You

Every carer will have their own private room in the client's home, Wi-Fi access and, in some cases, the use of a vehicle for eligible drivers.
You will be matched carefully to your clients, right down to your hobbies and interests so the time you spend with your clients will not only benefit them, but also you.
Assignments are available now; we have a range of flexible rotas to choose from all over the UK.
